Visitors to interzum 2019 will see how Mimaki digital print technology is revolutionising the furniture production and interiors industries.
- Mimaki to showcase robotic technology for ‘no human intervention’ inkjet print operation.
- Mimaki to present at interzum a ‘Speakers’ Corner’ and feature samples at Focus 5 ‘edutainment area’.
Mimaki Deutschland GmbH, a leading manufacturer of inkjet printers and cutting systems, today announces that at interzum 2019 (21 – 24 May 2019, Koelnmesse GmbH, Germany), the company will demonstrate how Mimaki digital print technology is revolutionising the furniture production and interiors industries, and enabling customers to produce high-quality print for a wide range of profit-generating applications.
A highlight product on Mimaki’s stand (Hall 3.2, stand A-011) will be the UJF-7151plus direct-to-object UV flatbed printer. The high-performance Mimaki solution has a maximum print size of 710mm x 510mm and enables precise placement of ink, ensuring flawless print quality on a wide range of products/substrates. At interzum 2019, visitors to the Mimaki booth will see interior applications including laminated floor boards, wallpaper, furniture fabric, textiles and much more. A further highlight will be Mimaki’s recently launched MUH-100-Si UV-curable metallic ink, which can be placed directly onto the product without the need for further manual processing and handling. This provides customers with a means to create elegant and sophisticated applications efficiently.
In addition, the Mimaki UJF-7151plus at interzum 2019 will feature a robotic arm from Robominds. Designed to enable workflow automation, the Universal Robots robotic arm provided by Robominds will demonstrate how Mimaki customers can use the technology without any human intervention, to improve their profitability. Providing a new level of production efficiency, the proof of concept robotic demonstration will provide interzum visitors with a glimpse into the future of inkjet print production for furniture and interior applications.
Mimaki will also show its UCJV300-75 UV integrated printer/cutter, enabling unique five-layer printing for the creation of distinct designs, simultaneously, on each side of the substrate. This capability makes the Mimaki solution ideal for transparent foil for laminated surfaces, enabling high quality printing on furniture, wallpaper and worksurfaces. “There is an increasing interior design trend for the production of more individual, shorter-run applications, featuring more diverse printed colours and patterns. Mimaki’s UCJV-series is compatible with a wide range of materials and is suitable for numerous interior and furniture applications,” states Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director of Mimaki Deutschland GmbH.
The company will also participate in interzum 2019’s Focus 5 ‘edutainment area’. Demonstrating how digital print can be integrated into furniture production and interior construction, the area will see an impressive and inspirational range of Mimaki samples. With a focus on “Digital printing as stylistic device”, the interzum 2019’s ‘Speakers’ Corner’ programme will also see Uwe Niklas (General Sales Manager, Mimaki Deutschland GmbH) deliver an insightful presentation on “Digital printing as a stylistic device” at Stand P-020 at 1pm on the 24th of May.
“We anticipate an exciting show,” concludes Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi. “In this market, digital printing is still in its infancy, but it’s also poised to unlock huge creative potential for designers and revenue opportunities for print providers and manufacturers. This potential is clearly evident in the samples we will present and the customer case studies we will share with prospects at the show.”
