Mimaki Innovation at Viscom Dusseldorf 2013 Draws Visitors, Reaps Awards
Attendees appreciated quality and reliability of Mimaki products

Mimaki reported a successful exhibit at Viscom Dusseldorf with a focus on high quality printing and finishing solutions for the sign and display graphics market. Mimaki was also recognized with two prestigious awards during the show.
“Visitors to our stand were excited about the quality and capabilities we were able to show, especially with the JFX500-2131, and the preview of the JFX200-2513,” said Mike Horsten, General Manager Marketing EMEA at Mimaki Europe, “Mimaki’s leadership position in the rapidly evolving wide format printing market was validated by the receipt of two BEST of 2013 AWARDS, which was very exciting for all of us.”
Mimaki received the VISCOM BEST of 2013 AWARD in the Signmaking category for its CG-SRIII Series of Cutting Plotters. This compact, reliable piece of equipment has been enhanced with a variety of new developments including a cutting pressure of 500 grams, a doubled curved-cutting speed, continuous intermediate crop mark detection with a maximum of four crop marks and remote monitoring. Mimaki also received the BEST of 2013 AWARD in the Large Format Printing category for its Latex Ink LX101 for the JV400LX printer. The company introduced the world’s first white latex ink in 2013, bringing to sign and display graphics operations the ability to digitally produce vivid colour printing results on transparent substrates.
Other Mimaki products featured at the show included:
- JFX200-2513. This entry-level 4-colour UV flatbed printer was previewed at the show. Extremely easy to use, it incorporates many of the advanced features that Mimaki is known for in the sign and display graphics industry. Printing at up to 25 square meters per hour on materials up to 2,500 x 1,300 mm and up to 50 mm thick, the JFX200-2513’s compact footprint, eco-friendly LED curing and attractive price point make it ideal for businesses in the sign and display graphics industry that wish to affordably expand their range of services.
- JFX500-2131. This grand format UV flatbed printer features multiple ink options and LED curing for high quality printing with reduced energy consumption. At the show, this flatbed printer ran very reliably and achieved the promised speed of 18 sqm/h with white ink.
